CHINESE NEW YEAR - LUNAR - 3RD FEBRUARY

Chu Xi in 2011 (Year of the Rabbit)

The Chinese New Year moves 18 to 20 days each year - all depending on the moon.

Red: Terrifying Nien

A wonderful celebration of the start of the new lunar year. It is a time for cleaning and sweeping out old rubbish and all bad fortune with it. We start a clean new year and give presents to those we love.

In particular we give money to our children in bright red envelopes because we know that the beast Nien is afraid of the colour red.

Give a "Red Envelope" to those you love and to provide for those in need by giving a Love2Donate voucher. What a way to start Chu Xi.
