Most sites I visit require registration - How come you don't?

This was a conscious decision that we took. No-one likes registering to use a website. More passwords to remember (or forget as is usually the case!). With this is mind we decided that we would request user details everytime you make a purchase.

Do you need to be licenced to use Charity Commission information?

Yes you do. We have a data agreement in place with the Charity Commission and also adhere to the Open Government Licence for public sector information. A copy of the licence can be found here: Open Government Licence

What does the padlock in the browser indicate?

The padlock is your assurance that all data being entered into the website is transmitted safely and securely from your computer to ours. In fact, you should never enter personal information into any site which does not have a padlock. The registering company we use is Thawte who carry out numerous checks to ensure that we are a legitimate company.

Why can't I find my chosen charity on your website ?

We source all of our charities from the UK's Charity Commission for a number of reasons, but primarily to ensure that all charities we deal with are 100% bona fide. If you cannot find your favourite charity - ensure you have correctly used our search facility. If you still cannot find it - then chances are it is no longer recognised by the Charity Commission.
